I would like you to know that what motivates me to have my own business is Freedom, build a Legacy for my four children, and put into practice my passion for helping others without being limited by an employer; I support anyone who does not have a vehicle or if they are visiting a accomplish their needs at a very affordable price. Nonetheless, I would like to build a legacy for my four children so they have their heritage to continue, have financial stability, and secure their future.

The story behind my business is the one of a single mother and her four children who had a car; however, I was looking for something a little bit bigger for my kids to be able to ride comfortably for 14 hours on a particular trip where my whole family was going to reunite for the first time in years to celebrate the birthday of my sister who lives out of state. I could not accomplish our trip as I was unexpectedly laid off from work, and because of how expensive it is to rent from a traditional car rental agency, I decided not to go because I couldn’t afford it. The look on my boy’s face was devastating. Their disappointment and my frustration gave me the strength to start looking and researching ways to help other single mothers or families not go through the same thing I went through and how to avoid such a disappointment as the one my children felt. After days of looking, I found a platform that would allow me to securely share my vehicles with others with my approval as long as they stayed within Massachusetts. Nevertheless, as the platform grew, fees also increased, and profit was less and less. I started having clients who were now contacting me directly, then the idea of parting ways and perhaps starting on my own came about.

The challenges I have endured with this decision have been money and time. As I started, my car was financed, and customers asked me for a bigger family vehicle. I invested in two more cars with the help of my taxes, and now trying to stay up float with the low season both independently and still through the platform, in conjunction with car expenses such as maintenance, tolls, tickets, insurance, gas, etc. has been very difficult as I am currently back to work full time and if it wasn’t because I am staying with my mom and the money I make is to supplement the business I would be homeless, and most likely having to give up the company. However, I haven’t given up because I’ve had good times, and the business is lucrative, as someone out there will always need a vehicle to rent. They will look for lower prices and convenience as I make deliveries wherever the customers decide. The opportunities I have gained have been the chance to meet people from all over the United States and places. I have learned so much about cars, how to be a business owner, and the transportation market. Therefore, I would say that the opportunities are endlessly embarking on this journey and are very lucrative in the future, especially when considering how to provide other means of transportation and help women in need.

• What is the mission of your company or project? To provide our customers with highly efficient vehicles at a low cost by beating competitors’ prices.
• Describe the problem you are solving. The business is enduring a bad low season where there’s not enough profit coming im. Therefore, I went back to work full-time to supplement the need.
• What is the market size/opportunity? I currently have three vehicles. I want funding to add two more cars and start marketing with energy-efficient vehicles and family size.
• What is your company/product about, and how does it solve the problem? The product that I’m providing is vehicles to rent.
• Why are you seeking funding, and how will you spend the budget? I’m seeking funds as my business is enduring low season, which means that I’m not getting many customers renting the cars, and there’s little to no profit coming in. with the grant, I will pay the past due expenses acquired by the vehicle; such as maintenance, taxes, and car notes—nevertheless, tolls, tickets, and fuel expenses by the customers. Also, obtain two more vehicles, and invest in advertisement.
