AI enabled Clinical Image Analysis tool
Simplifying specialist medical consultations in remote
areas using smartphones and speeding up the triaging process (Eg: in Breast Cancer)

Project Description
ABOUT
LaVen Health Services Pvt Ltd
(known as KulkarniClinic - dedicated to Healthcare since 1973)
involved in Human health activities | Continued medical education, R&D |
Healthcare technology services & solutions.
BACKGROUND and THE PROBLEM
Triaging patients effectively and efficiently is the first
and the most crucial step in any disease management process.
Clinicians rely on and study various clinically relevant images.
(X-rays, Pathology images, CT scans, MRI scans, ECGs, etc.)
to arrive at logical clinical judgments.
Most clinicians, nurses, patients, and their attendants
forward these images to their attending doctors through social media.
Most smartphone apps that share images
do not offer clinicians tools to quickly evaluate images
objectively.
Users in remote locations are not able to capture
clinically relevant images with proper orientation and
send the images to a clinician for objective analysis in real time.
This results in ineffective triage of patients.
SOLUTION
Boot Strapped MVP (Filed for IP review)
Our Solution / Innovation (currently under Patent Review)
A real-time method for remotely analyzing lesions using smartphones.
The method includes performing a first validation
Assisting in camera orientation in 3D Space to enable better image capture
Calculating several parameters of the clinically relevant image
A user with minimal technical skills and resources can use the app
Apply AI & ML technologies to reduce human errors
WHY FUNDING?
Let's take the example of Breast Cancer.
Person in a remote part of any geography,
by the time they realize something is wrong,
seek medical attention, get directed to the right specialist,
follow proper investigation protocol, get exact clinical care,
the time taken is way too long and, in most cases,
it's too late and too little can be done.
Especially when the medical systems all over the world
are overburdened or underutilized in some cases
performing non medical specialist jobs, the need for an AI-enabled
the triaging system is essential and crucial.
The goal is to bring in technology to speed up the detection
Reduce burden/workload on clinicians and get timely medical attention.
Now having understood the Problem, and the potential solution,
the obvious need is to get the right engineering resources in place.
If we go the traditional debt funding, Angel funding, PE / VC funding, etc
the founders strongly believe the purpose of easy access to technology
will not be served and core purpose may get diluted in board room meeting &
complexities of the financial world.
That is why the founder chose the CrowdFunding route
to keep it really open and accessible,
reach everyone who needs it.
HOW DO WE INTEND TO USE THIS FUND?
The first two versions were bootstrapped.
Now that the POC and MVP is looking encouraging, we need further funding for :
Hire Engineering resources
Get the right software systems and Hardware systems
Design Clinical Trials
Build AI and ML systems to process images faster,
effectively and efficiently.
Who is on your team?
