Absurdity of Certainty
"I thought we were talking about physics but we're not," says physicist philosopher Dr. F. David Peat, directed by Jena Axelrod

Project Description
After 20 years of dreaming of making this film, we cannot wait to share our documentary Absurdity of Certainty! We are so close now and we need your help to finish!
Follow director Jena Axelrod to her mentor, physicist/philosopher, Dr F David Peat in his Pari Center located on top of the medieval hilltop village of Pari, Italy.
David describes how "tools of the mind" caused us to become polarized, dogmatic, certain, and abstracted from the lived experience of the world, while showing us how his Tuscan village remains connected to nature.
Jena attempts to force David to help her make a logical argument in support of a holistic universe but he finds creative ways to stop her.
We are seeking funding for post production expenses: graphics, color correction, sound design. We are so lucky to have an incredibly talented and credited post-production crew on the ready and we just need funding to properly hire these beautiful souls and finish this labor of love!
Thank you for your support! We are so grateful!!! Thank you for making this dream come true!

The Campaign FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions:
- What is Absurdity of Certainty?
Jena set out to make a logical argument for a spiritual worldview but David might tell you this is a fool's journey. Our surreal, spiritual, science film attempts to make a logical case that AND > OR.
- How did this film get started?
Our director, Jena Axelrod, had a spiritual emergency/emergence 20 years ago that changed her. She went from being a skeptical, logical thinker to someone embracing the idea that we are all from one source, of one shared consciousness.
She wanted to share these ideas but was desperately afraid to be seen as "woo woo" and unfit. So instead of speaking her truth, she studied for years in an attempt to logically defend her worldview, which led her to Dr. F. David Peat, The Pari Center, and the village of Pari.
She left Pari 20 years ago with Absurdity of Certainty in mind.
- Why has this project taken so long?
Our director spent 10 years researching her argument, unable to put down the idea of this film yet lacking the confidence to fully pick it up. With the help of her friends, she finally understood she could make a film, but then needed more time to heal and become vulnerable enough to be seen.
- How have you funded the film so far?
We have self-funded this project to date- thanks also to the generosity of many on the crew who lent their time and talent to this labor of love.
- What if you exceed your funding goals?
Our goal is a modest underestimation of our actual costs. If we raise more than our goal, or if we raise less, we will use your help wisely, justly, with gratitude, and will persevere and finish this film!
If we exceed our goal all of the people who volunteered their time and skill will be properly compensated and that would be a joyous event!

All'interno di un caratteristico borghettino Toscano ci siamo noi, ristorante dai sapori tradizionali toscani, o come dice la cuoca, "Piatti semplici ma gustosi. Pasta fatta a mano e ingredienti di qualità."
We are inside a characteristic Tuscan hamlet, a restaurant with traditional Tuscan flavors, or as the cook says, "Simple but tasty dishes. Handmade pasta and quality ingredients."
