The transport sector accounts for around 20% of global emissions, and emissions from private cars make up 45% of these. Private motoring is increasing in line with urbanisation, and in 2050 it is estimated that 50% of Co2 emissions will come from cars. Replacing cars with bicycles is the most effective measure to reduce emissions. 

Whee! is a subscription service for electric cargo bikes, aimed at urban families. We help more people to live car-free, by simplifying access to a cargo bike with everything included, for a reasonable monthly sum. We now have 293 customers on the platform, have grown the customer base by 107% last year and the income by 271%. Almost 90% state that Whee! is their main mode of transport in everyday life, and 62% of the km our users use bicycles instead of cars. The customers are 90% private customers, but we have signed large corporate deals that will make business customers 35% of our business in 2024. . We are also piloting with large property developers to explore how cargo bikes can become an integral part of housing complexes and public transport in the cities of the future.
