Why did you create the Unbought & Unbossed Academy?

Because Black women shouldn’t have to beg for a seat at the table—we build our own. I’ve spent my career navigating workforce development, consulting, and economic justice. I know firsthand that we have the talent, the vision, and the brilliance—but we’re often locked out of the rooms where funding and contracts flow.

This Academy is about taking back our power, providing the mentorship, funding strategies, and real support that Black women need to step into consulting and entrepreneurship on our own terms.

💰 Why are you raising $300,000?

Because this economy is not designed for us to thrive—so we’re designing our own. This funding will:
✔️ Fully cover our next cohort of 30 participants, prioritizing Black women who lost jobs due to federal cuts & DEI rollbacks
✔️ Fund business-building essentials, including coaching, website development, and strategy sessions
✔️ Build a self-sustaining ecosystem, connecting Black women to financial experts, wellness practitioners, and legal support so they can launch their businesses the right way

This isn’t just about a program—it’s about creating a lasting economic foundation for us, by us.

📅 When will the next cohort start?

Once we secure the funding, we will begin recruiting for launch in late 2025.

👥 Who is this program for?

This is for Black women who:
🔥 Have been pushed out of jobs due to government cuts or DEI rollbacks
🔥 Are ready to build their own consulting or entrepreneurial ventures but need strategy, mentorship & funding
🔥 Want to be part of a community of powerhouse Black women, all building their businesses together

We’re prioritizing those most impacted by systemic economic shifts, but any Black woman serious about stepping into entrepreneurship is welcome to apply.
