We don't just say it, we live it we breath it we mean it... and we hold each other accountable to it every day.

magpies, simply put, is a retail store. blah. boring-right? another store. ho hum. and like most stores, we have a mixture of clothing and gifts and accessories-well those are the things that pay the rent. ... BUT MAGPIES. OMG MAGPIES!

it's a space that celebrates and elevates every girl that walks in the door. there are no bad days inside magpies. it smells like cotton candy and bubble gum, there are dance parties, and cookies, and honestly we're convinced a unicorn is gonna show up here one day.

We created magpies with a deep desire to serve girls in an environment that is positive, empowering, centered on fun, and celebrates their uniqueness.

With that mission at heart, it quickly evolved into much more than a 'store.' In an effort to elevate girls of all ages, we partner with loads of locally owned small businesses for pop-ups, crafts, in-store yoga and more. We have had the privilege of teaming up with a variety of charities and schools for special events, including two upcoming Girls' Nights at Cameron Middle and Grassland Middle.

magpies is all of this and so much more, and because of that, we believe it should be shared with every girl, everywhere. we live in the land of possibility around here, and it allows us to DREAM big, and DO big.

With the risks we take and the grace we show along the way, we know we are inspiring girls everywhere to find clarity, hope and confidence to get after their own goals.

so why are we here? well, it's not black and white. we are curious girls, and we live in the grey. the grey allows us flexibility to grow with our community and hear the needs of others. living in this space has shown us that other cities would greatly benefit from our mission, and all the gushy girl power vibes we radiate. we think our sparkly carnival of cuteness might need to go beyond our West Nashville neighborhood, so that the pipeline to girl empowerment can extend far and wide.
