Professional Social Network App (Coming Q1 2025): 

Problem: The future of professional social networking is not a future that includes people who believe LinkedIn is an actual social network. LinkedIn is truthfully a job searching and sales platform, which while can be helpful, is not ideal for those who truly want to build genuine connections and have fruitful industry debates. Our community has constantly voiced complaints about using LinkedIn to engage with people and constantly being met with months of no responses.

Solution: We plan to create a privatized (curated) professional social network experience via a mobile app. This app will: 

• Cultivate a safe space for dynamic conversations
• Leverage AI to make 1:1 meaningful connections for our users on a recurring basis (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly depending on the member's plan)
• Nurture interactive. gamified e-learning experiences

Kinnected: 

Problem: There is a huge shift taking place in our workforce and our community is looking to play catch up. However, they are struggling to find the right people and groups to connect with on their newfound career pursuits. There is also a population of professionals who are settled in their careers but have moved to new cities not knowing anyone. They are now seeking other like-minded individuals to network with but just simply cannot find them.

Solution: Kinnected is our community directory tool created to help professionals identify the best career and/or business groups that align with their interests. It includes a powerful search with key filters including:

Content Creation: 

Problem: Outside of the fact that our community experiences information overload, they also just genuinely don't know who to trust when it comes to career, business and wellness content. However, they do trust Hue Capital.

Solution: We pay very close attention to our data to better understand who engages with our brand, as well as, who is currently leading movements, products, and experiences to change the world. Access to this information allows us to carefully select who we interview for our talk show/article content that will be genuine, transparent and intentional about the information they share.  This content is accessible via our website articles, Very Necessary Decisions Talk Show, newsletter and more.

Problem: For the same reasons that we mentioned in Kinnected, we realize that people lack access to a professional community that can help them accelerate their career and business dreams.

Solution: Hue Capital's community has access to an array of events strategically curated to not only help them network with other young professionals and founders across various industries, but to also assist them in developing technical and leadership skills necessary to successfully career pivot and/or build thriving companies. Some of our events include:

• Hue Lane (Quarterly Series): A networking mixer that takes a professional spin-off of the famous "Traffic Light Party". Each color of the traffic light is used to indicate a specific industry: Business & Tech (Green), Media & Entertainment (Yellow), Healthcare & Social Impact (Red)
• Winning Women NYC Summit (Annual): A transformative gathering designed to empower and uplift women. With a strong focus focus on enhancing wellness, unlocking wealth, and advancing careers, this event offers a holistic approach to personal and professional growth. 

• Produce, Don't Just Consume (Coming Soon): The purpose of this event is to educate attendees on how to not only be consumers of products but also creators of it. This is a panel and workshop event structured to:

  • Expose attendees to the toughest problems in their industries that need solving via panel conversation with industry leaders
  • Allow attendees to collaborate with each other during a workshop where they are assigned a problem to solve and must work together to determine how they would approach that problem; then, they present the solution. 
  • Bond and network with fellow attendees

Why us? Why should Juju, our Founder, be supported to solve this problem?

Now, you're probably wondering, "Why you? Why should Juju be supported to solve this problem?". Don't worry, I have the answers! To know me is to know that I have spent the last 10+ years building community and doing everything in my power to make my community of young professionals and founders more socially, financially, and physically fulfilled. I have done so in a plethora of ways. 

These include: 

• 2014-2018: At SUNY Albany, I served in numerous leadership roles including:
  • Student Government President overseeing $2.67 million dollars to transform the lives of our students
  • President (Treasurer a year prior) of the Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students (MAPS) where I successfully fundraised nearly $20,000 to bring pre-medical students to the AMEC Conference for the first time in our chapter's history
  • Co-Chair of NAACP's Health Committee to promote health awareness amongst our members and overall SUNY Albany community

• 2020: Created and operated a startup called MilleniVision, a digital media and career advancement platform for young professionals. We connected 2,100 young professionals to over 200+ diverse, mid-senior level professionals via 60+ live & virtual events and 20 career development articles. This startup was supported and funded by Blackstone Launchpad which provided me access to $10,000 to help build my company. 

• 2020-2023: I doubled down on my pursuit to transition from wanting to attend medical school to cultivating myself as a rising business and tech leader in the digital health space. This has permitted me to become a growing expert in the Information and Communications Technology realm. Through my roles as a product manager, UX research professional, sales and project manager, I have successfully built numerous products solving urgent issues plaguing the lives of patients including:
  • Customer management software
  • Electronic health records software (EHR)
  • Automated phone systems
  • SMS 

  • Chatbot

    • All of which have, collectively, allowed me to impact nearly a million patient's lives.

     

• 2023-Present: Hue Capital Era
  • Created an online and IRL community of 10,000 professionals across numerous platforms including email, Instagram, LinkedIn, and more.
  • We have held 20+ events (networking, workshops, and more).
  • Since launching our website back in February with minimal promotion (we wanted to wait for Huey to launch to properly promote the site), we were able to garner ~11,000 unique users to the site. 
    • Our biggest wins, thus far?
      • Transformed our quarterly Hue Lane Networking Mixer from an 120 person event to a 400+ person event in the span of just 3 events. 
      • Held our inaugural Winning Women NYC Summit for ~100 rising women leaders which was backed by prominent financial companies including Chase and Equitable.
