The Haunting Grounds Cafe

Welcome to The Haunting Grounds Cafe!  My name is Anna and I am the owner and CEO of this incredibly fun concept that I need YOUR help to bring to life.  I am a single mom who worked for 25yrs in rock n roll.  The industry was a tough one and I found myself longing for change, for something better not just for myself, but for my child.  So we are moving to Fort Collins, CO to create a dry alternative cafe and event space that is welcoming to all walks of life and brings joy, wonder, and spooky amazement to all who visit.  

From our freakishly entertaining staff to our bone-chilling decor, enjoy wicked delicious drinks and eats with a whimsical side of spooky at The Haunting Grounds Cafe!  After enjoying the ambiance and delicious meal, shop our retail store and artist consignment shop.  As an artist myself I can't wait to help support other local artists in this way.

The Haunting Grounds brings together creepy creativity across food, drink, décor and culture that customers won't find anywhere else nearby. Our startup has tapped into strong local demand for an innovative café experience in Fort Collins, capturing business from college students, visiting tourists and year-round community members looking for somewhere unique to meet up.

We plan to use our financing funds in the following key areas during the startup phase of our 
business:
• Leasing and buildout of our retail cafe location - This covers upfront costs for leasing our space, building permits, architectural and construction fees, materials for interior construction and fixtures/furniture installation. 
• Equipment purchases and setup - We need to procure and install all of our cooking, refrigeration, point of sale and other equipment necessary to operate the cafe.
• First 3 months operating expenses - Our financing will help cover expenses like payroll, food, inventory, utilities, insurance and other costs in our first months as we establish the cafe, acquire regular customers and reach profitability.
• Branding and marketing - We will use a portion of funds for professional branding services to create our visual brand and website. We will also allocate some of the finances to advertising and promotional costs to market our grand opening and attract new customers.

I was raised by a very strong and independent mom who showed me that women absolutely deserve the place we want in this world.  Now my mom is in the late stages of Alzheimer's disease, and I have realized that it is now my turn to show my daughter that with hard work and perseverance, if you BELIEVE in your dreams, you can achieve anything.  I am excited for YOU to help me show her this beautiful life lesson.   Even better is that her first job will be in the cafe and I am hopeful that in time she will take the brand and run with it.  I want to give her the world... for now I will teach her to dream and believe.
