The Dusty Desk

This project is very special to me. This is not a unicorn pitch; it is a passion project. 

The number of unsolved crimes is staggering, many crimes are not even recorded. This website focuses on responsibly compiling evidence and resources. The heart of this website will be the forum. The community will offer support to victims, making sure they are heard and seen. There will be many tools available as well. Interactive maps to track and geo profile, the ability to archive and share information, a database of cold cases, AI chat that can answer questions on crimes in real time, and more. Users will be able to create profiles and personalize their experience. 

I would love to work with law enforcement. Each jurisdiction has their own system, which makes collaboration time consuming and less likely. Perhaps they could have their own login, or sister site. That is just an idea for now, I must take it one step at a time.

Extensive research is underway to ensure that The Dusty Desk, LLC promotes a safe and lawful community.

The main hub for online sleuths is Reddit. The Dusty Desk offers much more and is a dedicated home for problem solvers. Everyone will be able to make a profile for free. There will be an upgraded account, that will be a monthly fee. The upgraded account will have access to the AI. There will be tastefully placed ads that are relevant to the site. I am aware that this is not the best business model to make money. However, this plan should cover the basics. And this site is bigger than money.

The funding would allow me to hire a developer, get the more complicated tools live, and allow for marketing. That would enable the site to go live much faster, and The Dusty Desk would be able to get revenue flowing. The current cost for carrying the business is out of my pocket, my pockets are not deep.

You know, this is so hard. This pitch really needs help, but I am posting it now, because it is honest. Thank you for sticking it out and reading until the end, truly.
