Women's Basketball for All

Our Mission

Co-Founders and Friends Rita Forte and Amanda Lesky realized they were both passionate about playing basketball with other women after they graduated college, and found few places to play. So in 2015, they created Women’s All B-Ball in The Bay Area, CA.  The mission of Women’s All B-Ball is to provide opportunities for women to play basketball recreationally and competitively as adults.  
 

The Problem: Where the Ladies at!?

Close your eyes and imagine this real quick: You are driving past your local outdoor park, and you look over to the Basketball Courts at the people playing pick up games. Are there any Women? We're pretty sure 99% of you said 'no'. And if not no, then you might have said 'maybe 1 or 2'. This is literally why Women's All B-Ball started, why we exist and why we must continue to organize ourselves to gather. Women want to play basketball as adults too. For all ages. For all skill levels.
 

Our Solution

Women’s All B-Ball currently organizes the following opportunities for women basketball players:

• Pickup Games
• Team & League Play
• 3-on-3 Tournaments
   

How your funding helps

We are in our 5th year of operation, and the number of women in our community keeps climbing. It is clear that Women’s All B-Ball’s mission is a huge need that should continue, and more importantly, grow. We will use the money we raise directly for this mission:
 

Our plan is to also become an official Non-Profit 501(c)3, or Incorporation. The future for Women's All B-Ball includes the Vision of having these programs in other cities across the US as well as expanding to other sports that Women enjoy to play.

Why Crowdfunding

For the past 5 Years, we have been bootstrapping this mission out of pocket to create these spaces for Women to play.  Crowdfunding honestly appeared as the next logical step for us as we help to create community and build community, so why not ask the community for such support.  We THANK YOU for your support. With this Goal of $15k we can accomplish ALOT. We can keep creating opportunities with the money we spend. Thank you in advance for taking the time to contribute like it matters, because it does. Recreation matters.
