Meet Tonesha

"The learned soul is the evolved soul." This quote embodies Tonesha Sylla and how she moves through the world as an intuitive coach and creative who guides clients towards emotional awareness and their spiritual nature. Her work's core is in how clarity serves as the foundation for creating the life that best serves our souls. Tonesha is a gifted intuitive and modern-day mystic who roots her identity in the empathetic connections she feels daily. She channels her constant spiritual practice into "soul lessons," workshops, individualized guidance, writing, and other creative endeavors that highlight the connection between creativity and soulfulness. Tonesha and her coaching methods provide a roadmap through the seen and unseen obstacles that block us from deep self-understanding while emphasizing that learning is a spiritual practice. 

What is intuitive Coaching?

Intuitive Coaching allows you to see yourself at the soul level. This form of coaching takes place without the influence of your ego, which can constantly create self-doubt. In this coaching experience, you begin to understand your unique qualities and why they are present in this lifetime for you. Your commitment to this process will be the start of the next level of your spiritual journey and, perhaps, even an introduction to spirituality. Intuitive Coaching creates an increased sense of self-awareness and naturally breaks down fear. 

How does that show up in the real world?

What problem did you notice?  

We are sad and hurting, and many of us don't know the remedy. 

• The percentage of people suffering from depression in America rose from 20% to 40% throughout the pandemic.

• The last three years have been characterized by the Great Resignation, economic and social turmoil, a global pandemic, and collective feelings of hopelessness.

• Healing was the 'most Googled' term in 2021

It's clear that we're living through a mental health crisis, and while no one is unaffected, women are having a challenging time finding their identities in their personal, professional, and creative lives. Even more acutely, Black women and women of color are often stigmatized for expressing their feelings and may feel pressured to suffer silently through systemic oppression. 

And the current state of things was a problem Tonesha saw  coming before it became a part of the public dialogue. Tonesha  created Emotional Clarity in 2016 as a black woman through the lens of her experiences. And realized, long before mental health was a trending topic, that the traditional modalities of therapy, counseling and other frameworks didn't speak to her problems, her traumas, or her history.  Tonesha also couldn't see herself reflected in the practitioners and their tools, which led her  to the Akashic Records and the truth that the Records hold for us all. 

The word 'empathy' seems to live on the tip of our tongues these days, but the act of showing empathy has yet to become a common practice in our culture. In creating the Emotional Clarity Challenge, Tonesha noticed that people are reacting to their circumstances but not understanding how to interact with their own emotions, much less how to handle the weight of others' emotions or personal choices, or how their lack of awareness of their feelings impacts others. For example, clients at prominent global companies are stressed out, frustrated, overwhelmed, and overworked. While employers are quick to offer short-term leave for unfulfilled workers, this accommodation does little to create long-term solutions for the emotional emptiness employees experience. These circumstances lead to an emotional imbalance and can lead to creative blocks and dissatisfaction. It only takes a search on social media to understand the unease, exhaustion, and emptiness many feel. We have tried to fill our hopelessness with ambition and accomplishments from the world around us, but the missing pieces we seek will come from within.   

Emotional Clarity: What is it?

The Emotional Clarity Challenge was created for people with emotions. What Tonesha has  learned working with people is that individuals don't spend enough time understanding and deconstructing their emotional landscapes. They have no idea how they feel and uphold their emotions, devoid of connecting the dots to how those emotions begin to govern and dictate their outcomes. Although a valuable mechanism for change, Tonesha believes that therapy does not work for everyone,  nor fast enough nor exclusively pinpoint the present and arising emotions. Simply talking about your problems from your perspective is rarely how you solve them immediately.  

Emotional Clarity supports and nurtures an environment where one can stop hiding and seek the truth in a manner that goes beyond idle conversation and the constructed presentation of self.

The Akashic Records, a modern spirituality modality, become the thing that helps you understand the specifics of your situation and the problem through time. However, Tonesha’s deep-seated empathy is where her skill truly lies. 

Emotional Clarity: Who is it for?

The Emotional Clarity Challenge exists to help people increase their emotional awareness about themselves and others. The challenge allows participants to gain insight through a razor-sharp focus on a single problem they cannot solve independently. Over 14 days, participants view the issue through 14 emotions. Participants are guided closer to the root of the problem each day by answering a simple question and allowing themselves to journal without holding space for their inner critics. Through guided journaling and real-time intuitive Coaching, the impact is a radical release of emotional baggage and a shift toward a heart-centered way of life. Emotional Clarity creates the mental abundance to be more intuitively inclined, consequently cultivating empathy.

Now, who is this challenge for? It's for any person who knows that life is meant to be expansive but also realizes that there are unknowns that prevent them from accessing their highest outcomes and clarities. This can be a business person struggling to align their core beliefs with the services they offer, a mother unable to push through bouts of restlessness and depression to show up in joy for her children, or an executive juggling responsibilities and unable to manage far-flung teams with various needs. Over the past few years, Tonesha has been presented with the opportunity to work with the emotional wellness of school-aged children. To offer personalized guidance to couples who want to form a stronger emotional and spiritual connection to their partners, with singles looking for the awareness that must first precede a genuinely romantic soul match. Tonesha has  worked with founders, entrepreneurs, creatives, and forward-thinking organizations where employees can select empathy-centered growth methods aligned with their spiritual understandings.  Tonesha ‘s welcomes the opportunity to guide  people of all genders, racial identities, and career fields who seek authentic growth and feel ready to practice true empathy in their daily circumstances.

Emotional Clarity meets you where you are, and most of us are drowning in the despair of our work, personal lives, and dreams we never bring to life. Why are you the person to do this work? 

Tonesha's first memories of Spirit are her first memories of life. What is an experience, if not what has been felt and lived and nurtured? Tonesha's passion for intuitively guiding others started long before she incorporated her business and took her first clients. Empathy allows one to access the depths of emotional awareness in all aspects of life, and that is what she is uniquely qualified to coach and support others through. 

She represents the Light for those seeking emotional growth and divine guidance on their journey. While spirituality does not have a color or race, privilege and access must be acknowledged—many people of color harbor spiritual wounds related to limiting belief systems that must be eradicated. As more people continue to seek support for their struggles in their personal and professional lives, Tonesha hopes to help her community access a higher dimension of clarity and start the healing process, one session at a time. Many people can do this work. However, emotional support, especially in the workplace, is often compartmentalized, only available during a crisis, and is generally nonspecific.  Tonesha hopes to offer more people guidance in accessible ways in places least expected so that people have a choice in their method of growth and healing.  We are not a monolith. Likewise, spirituality is not a monolith. What sets Tonesha apart is her capacity to understand the intimate nuances of our emotional reactions.

What has your impact been? 

Tonesha’s  impact has always been rooted in offering clarity through intuitive guidance. Tonesha will continue to build and do the work in a mindful way that focuses on how one person's healing can usher in the wholeness and wellness of many. People constantly bring up the topic of learned behaviors, negative patterns, and even generational curses. Still, they rarely know how to introspect how one person's pain rippled through other people's psyches and caused emotional damage. Her impact helps to root those in simple real-world solutions to their circumstances with a spiritual perspective. This helps to anchor those in their circumstances and does not leave what is divine and unexplainable out of reach but pulls it in closer through learning the proper pathways to intentionality and connection to not simply abundance but healing the root cause and redefining the conditions of our trauma.

How much do you need, and how will the funds be allocated?

To help make this vision of expansion a reality, Tonesha is  seeking your support in raising $30,000.   The funds raised will be utilized to offer in-person Emotional Clarity experiences with Life of an Empath in several cities  (**Austin, Chattanooga, NYC, Portland) around the country and build a support team. This team will focus not only on planning and implementing these events but will also help her  scale and manage her daily work to spend more time creating the content that brings the highest value, such as her second book. Additionally, with the help of her  team, Tonesha will be able to publish more soul lessons, produce and record the Life of an Empath podcast more effectively and consistently, and assist her in developing and building out more retreat opportunities for all who desire to come and experience her work in person across the globe.
