S.M.I.L.E. Mama bridges that gap by offering a community-centered space where productivity and motherhood coexist. Modern mothers are expected to do it all — build careers, raise children, manage households — often without adequate support systems. 

As a result, many talented, ambitious moms feel isolated, overwhelmed, and forced to delay or abandon their goals.

In our local market alone, we've surveyed 100+ working moms that confirmed strong interest in a dedicated space designed specifically for mothers balancing business and family life. Nationally, women-owned businesses generate trillions in revenue annually, and mothers represent a significant and expanding portion of that market.

The opportunity is substantial: a scalable, community-driven coworking model tailored specifically to working moms.

OUR PRODUCT & SOLUTION

S.M.I.L.E. Mama will be a welcoming coworking space where mothers can bring their whole selves — their ambition, their children, and their need for connection.

Our space will offer:

• Onsite childcare, so moms can work with peace of mind
• A small fitness gym to move, reset, and release stress
• Wellness experiences and workshops that pour back into women

Why we're seeking funding and how we will spend the funding?

We are seeking funding to bring our first physical location to life and build a strong foundation for growth.

Funds will be used to:
• Secure and prepare a physical space
• Furnish coworking and child-friendly areas
• Develop a professional website and booking system
• Launch targeted marketing to reach working mothers
• Host community-building and revenue-generating events

This funding allows us to move from concept to fully operational space while maintaining affordability and accessibility for moms in our community.

MEET OUR TEAM

S.M.I.L.E. Mama is founded by April Scott, CEO — a wife, mother of three, entrepreneur, Realtor of 5 years, former salon owner, and Certified Doula. April brings firsthand understanding of the challenges working mothers face while building businesses and families.

She is joined by Shannon Jacobs, CFO- also a wife, mother of three, entrepreneur, and has 25+ years of experience in the Childcare Industry. Shannon shares a passion for empowering women and strengthening community. 

Together, we are committed to creating a space where mothers feel supported, inspired, and equipped to thrive both personally and professionally.

As S.M.I.L.E. Mama grows, the team will expand to include childcare professionals, community coordinators, and operational support staff who align with our mission and values.
