• What is the mission of your company or project?

We believe feeding yourself well is the ultimate act of self-love and are on a mission to provide access to modern, fresh, healing, pretty food to encourage an even deeper act of self-love. Our goal is to inspire a sustainable relationship with food, shift the perspective on eating at home to actually enjoy it.  

• Describe the problem you are solving.

We have become so disconnected to food and the source, our bodies are paying for it through obesity and mental health issues. We want to help solve these issues by empowering people to take control of their health. 

• What is the market size/opportunity?

After covid-19 and the pandemic consumers care even more about their health and the interest continues to grow. It's not just the fitness and nutrition aspect but mental health is also becoming a priority. The global wellness market is estimated at $1.5 trillion. 

• What is your company/product about and how does it solve the problem? 

We are fascinated by the beautiful and complex human body. The way it tells us exactly what it needs. BUT only if we listen, if we honor it. The more mindful you are about what you consume, creating a nutritious plant-based sustainable diet the healthier your gut will feel and the more connected, intuitive and aligned you will be. You cannot win if you are not right within! It's time to uplift and nurture each other. The Nourishing Cocina is creating plant-based wellness essentials with real food, high quality nutritious ingredients that empower people because your food affects your mood. Everything is connected in our bodies. 

• Why are you seeking funding and how will you spend the funding?

Receiving funding will allow us to expand our products, this will include formulating, labeling and manufacturing which is not easy when you are using real ingredients and not including chemicals and junk. It will allow us to expand into more stores, distribute and expand our online store , and media presence by marketing along with assisting in packaging and shipping expenses. Funding will also be very helpful with hiring employees because as of now this is a one woman show making it difficult for the company to grow to its full potential.

As of now it's just me, the owner and Chef- Cindy Altamirano
