Rhythm in Motion Dance Company startup fund

Rhythm in Motion Dance Company (RMDC) offers a combination of recreational and nationally ranked competitive dance company through a broad variety of dance styles for dancers of all ages from children to adults.  A robust non-competitive level dance instruction will provide a broad customer base allowing for low-pressure classes while offering more advanced classes and competitions for dancers desiring a higher level of achievement.

There is a deep hunger for high quality instruction that strives to achieve exceptional quality as evidence by many negative reviews of the current studios.  We have those proven we can hold those exacting standards, applied in an aspirational way, and enable our dancers of all ages to reach their full potential.  As a participant and instructor at many studios over the years, we have a full and detailed knowledge of what instruction works, what is counter-productive, and how to keep the customer and their families engaged and happy while pushing them beyond their self-imposed limitations.  We have achieved remarkable results with our very small team at several regional dance competitions, winning awards for performance and choreography!  It is possible to have high standards AND have fun in a safe and friendly environment!

We teach many styles of dance, from Ballet and Pointe to Jazz and Tap, but also less common styles like Hip Hop, Musical Theater, Lyrical, and Acrobatics.  In addition, we are unique in the region for offering a full range of adult classes, including Tap, Jazz, Belly Dance, and Lyrical.  We are proud members of the local community, performing at a wide range of locations and events! We are offering summer camps and summer dance classes to start new life-long love for dance!

This funding is desperately needed to keep the studio open while we grow!  The cost of renovations and initial construction, coming right in the middle of the pandemic, exhausted our initial funding.  We expect steady growth over the coming months that will generate enough tuition to cover these costs, but we aren't there yet!  The funding will be used to pay rent, cover payroll, and general operating expenses - we are currently generating about 1/3 of what we need, after only half a year of operations!  We are getting high marks in reviews and attracting attention and expect growth and revenue to climb over the coming months.

We have a small team of dance instructors covering all our classes, who's passion for dance and love for their students shine through in everything they do!  Several of our instructors have already won accolades for their choreography!  This studio is as much their dream as it is the owners!
