Edu@Home is an online marketplace that provides specialized and certified tutors that will assist students in all subject areas needed.
Project Description
- At Edu@Home our mission is to help students with daily educational support of tutoring. This will ensure a quality learning experience that will continue to assist students beyond Covid-19's effect on our educational system. We provide certified tutors or Teachers to assist students in the virtual learning environment at home or online.
- Covid-19 has caused an educational gap and students are failing and have failed at an alarming rate. The problem we are solving is catching the fall before it lands. We are stopping the predictions that our students will be affected educationally due to Covid-19, for the next 5 years. This is why students need a 1 on 1 method so that their specific issues with learning are addressed individually. This will prepare them to compete with the outside world more effectively and create winners.
- What is the market size/opportunity?
The U.S private tutoring market constitutes around 27% of the international market size by now. In the U.S alone the private teaching market in the year 2020 is approximated around 46.9 billion USD.
Technavio which is a well-known research company has been observing the personal teaching market in the US and it is assured to expand by USD 7.37 billion between the year 2019 and 2023. Accelerating at a CAGR of around 8%. Now Covid-19 has made the numbers expand to 22.3%
- Our service is a unique assistance approach to virtual learning. It is a tutoring hiring firm (on call) that requires teachers to go to the location and assist students through their daily school schedule while at home. We also hire Virtual tutors to assist if a parent prefers. This will aide in the student’s grades increasing and the student becoming more connected and invested in their learning. As we have been affected in our society by Covid-19 in so many ways, education has been impacted heavily. It has caused so many students to not perform to the level and the high pursuit of education needed to compete in our world. We are the solution to this crisis. We train our contracted teachers and company certify them through a business partnership to gain Certified Education Units. We also complete a thorough background check of all hired contractors and staff.
- We are seeking funding to assist our company with a strong start up foundation to build a strong possibility for success. We are pursuing quality hiring efforts, marketing and research development for new products. This will aide in effective client interaction with tutors on call.

Are your Teachers/tutors certified?
Some teachers are state certified. But all teacher/tutors who work for us have to complete a company certification process and thorough background checks. They are also required to go through an extensive company training to connect with the company's ethics and mission.
Are your teachers trained to tutor and assist with all types of learning disabilities?
We have some teachers who are trained outside of our training that specialize in various learning disabilities and the necessary approach. We offer various tools and resources to help teacher perform with excellence.
