Crowdfunding
Our crowdfunding campaign is only 15% of what our actual need is. We are diversifying as much as possible.
Grants
Grants are tough to obtain but I'm working on applying to every grant possible. I already won the My Hood My Block My City grant for $2500.
Loans
Loans will be our main source of funding. I was connected to Illinois Advantage which will significantly lower our interest rate and I will still need to apply and qualify.
Capital
Many businesses fail within the first year because they do not have enough liquid capital to carry them over until they are out of the red. So we are being as conservative as possible and making sure we have enough capital to thrive.
Resources
We have been on our A game and have taken countless workshops, classes and networked with some really amazing organizations. When I first started on this journey I joined the Women's Business Development Center in Chicago where I found great resources. iFundWomen provides amazing support for those who are crowdfunding. Play Café Academy has industry related course and a network of other play café owners.

We will send out an order form and have you select the best size for your child. Please select 1 size larger because they do run small.

When will Luna y Cielo Play Café open?
LyC is doing their best to open safely. We are working on obtaining a bank loan and pursue any grants that come our way. We also want to be as careful as possible with Covid and its variants and will take the best safety precautions. We understand that not everyone is ready to venture out into public spaces and are working on understanding that balance.
What's the difference between a 10pk Play Pass and a Private Play session for 10 amguitxs?
A 10pk Play Pass is good for 10 entrants that can be used for 10 separate entries per child. If you have 2 children you would need to use 2 passes on each visit. This visit will also NOT be private.
The Private Play session is good for 10 amiguitxs to play and you will be the only guests in our facility. It will be good for one visit with 10 chiquitxs and up to one guardian per child. This private session will need to be scheduled in advance in order to secure a private session. We will reserve the total capacity following our establishment's capacity guidelines. If for some reason we need to cap at less then 10 children we will find a comparable solution.
If my package includes a membership + a private play session...How many people total can attend?
If your membership includes 1 child then you can bring 10 more chiquitxs and 2 memberships plus 10 more chiquitxs. We will reserve the total capacity following our establishment's capacity guidelines. If for some reason we need to cap at less then 10 children we will find a comparable solution.
Why can't I split the 2 memberships with another household for the $1000 level?
Because this level is meant for those households who have 2 children.
Why does the $2000 level allowed to split their 2 memberships with another household?
At this level a business or a family is making a contribution and we recognize that not all business owners have children. Therefore we are allowing them to use their memberships or gift them.

Can I purchase a t-shirt outside of my rewards?

What's the difference between the $750 and $1000 level?
The $750 level is for one child membership and the $1000 has 2 children memberships.
Is my contribution a tax write off?
No, we are not a 501(C) 3/Non profit.
What will be your Covid safety guidelines?
The safety of our littlest of clients are our top priority. We will follow all Covid safety guidelines issued by the CDC.
Vaccine:
We feel that it is important that all staff and owner should have the Covid vaccine to ensure the safety of all to slow the spread.
Upon entry:
Temperatures will be taken and masks for all above the age of 2. Hands will need to be washed upon entry.
Extra measures:
Wipe downs of high touch areas and cleaning of toys often. We will have a "yuck" bucket in case the children put toys in mouth.
We will not allow those who actively are showing cold or cough systems even if there are no Covid symptoms in order to not spread illness.
We plan to look into equipment that cleans and purifies the air.
